Mogethin Tabinaw Rog!

Things are going great over here on the Wa’ab. Jesse was able to get baptized this Saturday and it was really nice! Her and her mom looked really happy! So now Sister Saimon and I are really excited to work with her family. There are probably over 15 less-actives that stay in that one house. We just need to re-motivate them to come! I love that family! Jesse is 9 years old and she was really excited and did everything perfect! And she had President Bamlul baptize and confirm her so that was a really good opportunity for him!
On Wednesday I went on exchanges with Sister Bradford and it was really fun! we left our house at 12 and at 12:05 it started POURING RAIN. And every Wednesday is Walking Wednesday so we just about froze in our drenched clothes for 5 hours but made it out alive. We were just walking in a stream the whole time. It is just so fun to teach outer island people, they are so nice and have such soft hearts. Pretty different than most of the Yapese people I come across everyday.
I am getting really close to getting my language mastery. I will get it in two weeks for sure. It is just a matter of sitting down and passing off the lessons and charts. Lavida and Persy have been helping me a ton with the language. I love when they help me because they just make me feel so good about myself even when I make a mistake. President Zarbock always tells us that English the Satan’s language on this island haha he just wants us to learn the language but everytime a local tells me to speak English I say, “Danga! Thin nu Merikan ea thin nu Mo’oniyan!” (No! English is the language of the Devil!) and they get a kick out of it.
Love and miss you all!
Sister Stevens
